On the night before Christmas, in the evening I went over to my friend's place for Christmas Party. It was a fun filled party and a nerve wrecking as I didn't really know the people there. Another new group of faces that I have never seen. Fortunately, I knew one of them, and so we've been catching up with gossips. Talking about this and that, soooo pat poh. We first had dinner in pot luck style (me and my friends bought KFC bucket). Basically most of us are health and fitness freaks, so the food are freakingly healthy and still tasty. I only had 2 rounds of small portion amount of food and I already full. (Guess I am now having a small tummy already) Next, we had games. The games was freakingly funny and fun. It was thru this games that we got to know each other. Yeah...really funny alright. The last programme of all was the Exchange Gifts session, and this time they make it something different. Instead of a boring-randomly-picked-the-number-and-matched-with-the-Christmas-presents, they had all of us to write down our numbers only, fold the paper and throw it in the paper bag, and this was done way before the dinner time. So here how it works; the first person draw out the first number, which contains the mobile number only (no name are allowed to be written on the paper, somehow some other people did that). Then the person will have to use his handphone and start calling that number (and all of us have to switch our handphone at normal mode without setting silent mode). Whoever phone rings, it means that person were being picked by the person who drawed the number from the paper bag, and so the person have to come over and hand over the gifts that they brought and hand it over to the 'drawer', and then be it boys or girls, these two will have to show the appreciation, either hugs or kiss. However, due to the process of the exchange gifts were too long, we just call out the last 4 number instead. During the process, we realised that it was minutes prior to midnight, so we waited for that minute to strike at midnight, and that's when we start yelling each other and say 'MERRY CHRISTMAS' to everyone in the house and start giving a good festive hugs to each other. Then we had photography sessions, of which all of us took lots of vain pictures. Haha..Christmas is almost over, and so far I got 3 Christmas present. 1st present comes from the previous Christmas Party, of which I got myself a sexy black Private Structure boxer. Damm it for those, but anyway, it's really better than nothing since I"m starting to update my wardrobe, including my undies. 2nd present comes from the exchange gift from my friend; I got Patrick tissue wrapper. It's in yellow, but my friend know that I like dog, and since I was born in Doggie year. 3rd present comes from the exchange gift from last night's party; the biggest present among all and I got one of my favourite; SNOOPY SOFT TOY. Now my room condition; all my soft toy department were all cramp up till have to rearrange them into positions that they can cramp together. The Patrick now were wrapped my tissue box and it's so cute. The Private Structure Boxer has already open but will need to wash them first for hygenic purpose.
To all my fella friends, families, relatives, colleagues, lovers and my ex-lovers (where you love me or you hate me), mates, deiss, machasss etc. Wishing you all a blessed Christmas and to have a fruitful coming New Year 2008. May all God's blessings be upon you all. Love, -Auron-Declan-
I know this blog a bit outdated, but it's better than didn't blog it out anyway. To me, this year was a really significant year. This year was 50th anniversary of our countries independence. In conjunction with the celebration of it, first we have Visit Malaysia 2007, then the festivals like Chinese New Year, World Harvest Festival and Gawai Festival (and this only applicable for East Malaysia). Coming soon will be Hari Raya and Deepavali and coming soon, Christmas will be here (Yipeee..I love Christmas). I can say that I'm proud being a Malaysian, although sometimes I have been mistaken by people that I'm a foreigner (major as Japanese,Singaporean, Korean and minor as Thai Apparently, I do sometimes act myself as a foreigner whenever I'm in the city. I think based on this way, I will really know how Malaysian treat foreigners as their visitors and probably become their 'new friends'. The only way to do that is simple. My skin is already fair, eyes 'sepet', tall and lean. I only need to wear casual t-shirt, shorts, sandals and a waist pouch and I'm ready. There are few funny moments that I encounter when I did that :- 1) Back in my hometown few years back, it was on Saturday afternoon when I was still working for a travel agency company. After work on that day, I made my way to CPS by walking, however was so tired, so I went to the cab station to take the cab. When I got into the cab, I told the driver that I wanted to go to CPS, and the guy seems to have problem talking to me. Only when I start to speak mandarin, he sounds relieve and start to talk. So I asked him what trouble him till he can't speak a word to me, he first thought that I'm a Japanese 2) Was at the East Coast of Sabah for overnight trip. Were on my personal tour with my ex-collegue, and she brought me around the town. Was walking around the Pasar Besar when those 'ah saos' talked within themselves, of which me and my ex-collegue overheard their conversations A: Eh...itu orang Korea kah? B : No lar..dia ni American Chinese. After hearing it, we both quickly went to one corner and we both laugh like crazy. ****************************** Anyway....HAPPY 50th ANNIVERSARY of MALAYSIA DAY!!
Only those genuine Sabahan are able to recognise this song. So far I able to find the Akademi Fantasia's version..am still looking out for the original version.
Anyway, in conjunction with the end month's festival for Sabahan (Harvest Festival), here I present to you, The Tamparuli Bridge. | Marsha - Jambatan Tamparuli | | | | | |
| | Took this picture during our Family Reunion Dinner at my auntie's place. This year, all families were to wear red shirt. Cool family, yeah? It was a great time to sit down together, have meals and chat. And the most common topic among ourselves as cousins is, who is attaching with who and when will we be getting married. Tough question. Too bad for me, I'm still single, so wedding is at the moment out of the question.

It was normal when a child goes back to hometown to celebrate big festive season with family and then spend quality time with family, friends, ex-classmates and ex-colleagues. Spending myself for almost a week plus is consider good, but for me it was still not long enough.
As time goes by, it is also draw the day more nearer to the day where I have to leave my comfort zone and moving on with my life. Last Saturday night thought of going out with friends, but I end up have no plan at all. Whole morning stayed at home and tried to record as many songs as I can but I only manage to play out one of my composition. As I play just one song but took me the whole morning just to play the better version, I sense that something wasn't right. I've been making too many mistake compare to previous days. Why?
In the afternoon had lunch with mum, then went to restaurants to book for a table of 5 for dinner, but unfortunately, all tables are either fully book or require the least minimum that cost a bomb. We then end up having dinner at home, whereby mum cooked me my favourite dish; lemon chicken.
At night time after dinner, fetch my friends up for yamcha at coffee bean at Damai, followed by giving a quick visitation at Atmosphere at Menara Tun Mustapha (Also known as Sabah Foundation Building/Yayasan Sabah) The environment there was damm fantastic. I'm loving it. The unique part of this bar is that it can revolve so that the patrons can view the whole place of KK, of which unfortunately it did not revolve at time when I was there. Well, better luck next time.
Ordered a cocktail that contains 4 different kinds of liquor (brandy+rum+vodka+gin), it taste exactly the same with the cough syrup. The only different is this drink can make you feel drunk. At time when I drank, I didn't feel anything, and it was normal for me. It began to take effect an hour after I consume it, that was when I was at home, trying to get some sleep.
I end up slept at 2am but woke up at 5.55am. I just couldn't sleep well. Something bothering me. Woke up to continue with my packings before we need to put them into mum's car.
After the Chinese Service in the morning, mum drove me and the 2 zhuzhus to the airport for check in. I almost have problem get myself to check in as there's slight confusion in the booking, of which at last problem has been solve.
Had dim sum for breakfast before big brother send me to airport. We had quick chat while he drove me to the airport and by the time I reach the airport, I'm not done with the conversation. Guess we still have a lot more to catch for a chat.
Went straight into the boarding hall and it only took couple of minutes before boarding time. It is the time to say goodbye to comfort zone and get ready for the challenge.
| | In conjunction with the next festive season of the year, would like to wish all my friends, family, relatives and HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR 2007.
Took these photos at The Curve where there have decors of trees filled with cherry blossoms trees and lanterns. Very Chinese Environment.:) |
*UPDATED - PICS*
When I was young, it was just a normal New Year for me. We didn't really celebrate. There were even few times when our church has overnight prayer that started from 31DEC until 1Jan and before it even reach at 1am, I complaint about being extremely sleepy.
As we grew older, of course we do celebrate New Year with my hometown friends by going out yamcha at Ta Pei Wang (Blue Knight Cafe), order our drinks and at strike of 12am, we will yell and wish each other HAPPY NEW YEAR.
There were also at one time when during a holiday, I still have to come back to work as part of the shift. Oh yeah, the worse one could happen was for me, for last year's New Year, when I joined my company for my first year, and we had to work during New Year. First time in my life.
As for this year, my New Year was kinda simple and yet I had great time. On 29th itself I was still thinking where to celebrate. Either clubbing or just stay at home. No way I'm going to stay at home during New Year coz I already had that during my teenage season and that was no fun at all. Going to clubbing during New Year is going to be costly too coz..you know lar......entrance fee also expensive. Not forgetting that I don't have car, so there's an extra charges and usually it's expensive if you go back home by cab.
What I did was I sms-ed to every friends of mine and check with them on what they are going to do. Some of them going to club. Some of them going to friend's house for party. Some of them just stay home and sleep only. I just have to wait until my friend Fiona J asked me if I would like to join them for party at her friend's place. Without hesitate, I told her to count me in. Later at the evening, went to Giant Supermarket at Amcorp Mall to buy snacks and guess what, I have bought those snacks and stuff which equivalent with the clubbing's entrance fee. I was like..AIYAAAAAAAA..NVM..TOo late liao..
ANYWAYYYYYYYYYYYY..as time goes by, I then prepare myself, get changed and ready to go off, and I called the cab. Damm...out of 5 cab service, only 1 which is luckily are made available and eventually had fetch me up. What the heck is going on with these cab service. Might as well just close them down lorr..
Reached at Pam's place (Fiona's friend), I then realise that most of Fi's friends ffk her..anyway, there were only few people though, include Fi's sister and knowing that she's one of the vain-pot, we both took a vain picture together.

We drank cola whiskey and had a game of cho tai di. We did not gamble in terms of money wise, but there's penalty for loosers. Whoever has a lot of cards will go 'BOTTOMS UP', while 2nd looser will be 'HALF UP', and the 2nd winner will be JONG the cards while the winner only need to sit down and relax.
We played till almost midnite and then we go HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!then we chat chat chat, laugh laugh laugh, and then chat chat chat until we all end up sleeping at the living room. Trouble for me is that I have to sleep on the floor with just a pillow, and it was awfully achy for my body.
Nevertheless, I had lots of great time with Fi's gangs and at least I'm not celebrating New Year alone. :)
