Blog EntryFunny SaturdayJan 26, '08 1:04 PM
for everyone

Another working Saturday. It seems that today is a sot sot day. Something seems to be NOT-SO-RIGHT going on.

In office, a miscommunication by my boss almost lead me into 'screwing session' from all 3 parties if I was so not careful with what I have to do after boss gave me 2 assignment of the day.

Good thing I took the pre-caution as I read thru the e-mail and found out that the message was not clear. Only when I checked with 'Tai Lou' in that department, I was fortunate enough to find out that the sessions were not meant for our departments. Imagine if I just go ahead with the assignment without checking back with him. I will sure kena tiao by 'Tai Lou', the staffs in my department, and of course, my boss.

--------------------------------

After work, I accompany my colleague Manjeet a.k.a. Macha to California Fitness at Menara Standard Chartered for trial enquiry.

Two days ago we both enquired about the package and the chinese lady told us story A. As of today, the indian lady and a chinese guy told us story B. This gave us an impression that they didn't provide correct information. BAD BAD BAD.

Next thing is that the sales guy did an explanation about health and fitness to Macha. And as he was talking about getting sleepy after lunch hour, I was discreetly yawning, trying NOT to yawn out so loud like what I normally did in the office.

-------------------------

It's been a while I since meet up my good buddy a.k.a colleague Toby since he has been based in Times Square while I'm at the other building. In the morning he sent me an sms asked me if I'm coming over to Times Square for birthday bash. Well, unfortunately I won't go there for the sake of the bash. Besides, I got work to do though.

Anyway, after the talk at the gym, I went over to Low Yatt to have my lunch first as I was so hungry, thus I ordered my lunch (and I ordered the wrong stuff). Doesn't matter now.

Toby arrived minutes after I arrived at the cafe and we chatted, chatted, chatted, until we make a move to roam around KL malls for window shopping.

While window shopping, we both still chat about work, clothings, technologies and mobile phones. And good thing is, most of the time we chat in Cantonese, a good way to practice and improvise my language apart of Mandarin and my native language Hakka.

We keep roaming around the places till we forgotten all about the time and then we decided to go over to Proton showroom to have a good look at the latest PROTON SAGA.

Auron-Declan's comment: IT WAS REALLY GOOD THIS TIME. I just love the big-mama exterior look; COOL. I just love the interior; SPACIOUS. Of course I did enquire some stuff that I should know about SAGA with the sales person, especially about fuel consumption.

Can anybody tell me if this PROTON SAGA's fuel consumption will be as economic as the Perodua's Myvi/Viva??

---------------------------------

There is something that I dislike about public transportation

Firstly, the inconveniency of the distance, well basically it's something like the location of the station that was placed at the SO-NOT-STRAGETICALLY well.

Next thing is, I was in my line when someone happen to cut cross my line and just go in into the train and I end up can't get in the train. I was like "BLARDYYYYYYYYYYYYYY BODOH SEEEEEEENGGGG PUNYA ORANG". I just beh tahan with people like that.

I think I did mentioned about this before at my previous blog, where I was still standing in my line and there were some kiddos, well, let me rephrase that...THOSE LA LA MUIZ, pushing me away of my line when trying to get in into the train. I was furious with the action so instead of going into the train, I bang her away of the train and I did hear the loud 'OUCH' from her.

Instead of saying sorry to her, I had this heart to tell her "SERVE YOU RIGHT" (Since when Auron-Declan become more evil??...

Just remember one thing about Auron-Declan. Auron-Declan is always a nice and friendly person. But when he was being tolerance-tested until the max level, Auron-Declan can be very dangerous without any notification. Don't ever think to test his tolerance level, or you'll be sorry).

Well, it was an indeed crazy saturday, and am looking forward for my trip back to hometown. Well, exactly next week I won't be in KL, so Bon Voyage to KL and Hola to Kinabalu Fort.

Am looking forward for spend some time with my family, and to do things that I already came up with on Auron-Declan's AGENDA, and of course doing some part time work while back in hometown.

One of my agenda is to spend a Day in Sapi Island, and this time I'm bringing my sister along with me (due to personal reason). Besides, she is very very free enough that I think she can be my photographer, so be prepare for another vain pot photos of Auron Declan.

----------------------------------------

GYM - Remember when I mentioned that my step instructor AJ told me that it's been quite long time she since saw me attend to her class. That time I wanted to 38 with her but then she had her jimuis sitting by her side, so I just put it on hold until the next time when I get a chance to chat with her personally.

Chances is on my side when I attend her class again on Sunday afternoon. After I changed my work out attire, I went down, sit down next to her and start to 38 with her. There are so many things that we been chatting this time, comparing with the time before that, and we both got to know each other more better (I think)

One of the thing that I 38 with her is about the 'incident' I had last month. Basically just told her the reason why I've been NOT attending the class these days. She was shocked to learned that I was being one of the many victim for that incident. I almost wanted to show her my 'wound' but I think it will be too gory for her to see it.

She eventually told me to be more extra careful, somemore, adding on with her point of view towards this case and also shared her stories as well; herself driving a Mercedes while being chased by 2 other cars, and she have to drive to Police Station then the cars dissappeared out of no where. Now that is really scary.

Not this kind of chase car lar

One thing we both agreed is that our country is not a safe country unless the government do something about it, of which recently our PM announced that the crime rate has been increased treumendously until he had ordered the police force and all communities to come up with something to enhance the security around the place; one of the agenda was

TO SET UP CCTV AT ALL PLACES

be it in the malls, carparks, shops, or office...this time it'll be more and beyond expectation (of course no CCTV in public toilet or even hotel toilet or I would rather use my own home's toilet for a pee pee and boom boom)

I think it is extremely a good idea, but I think the best idea is to have police roaming around the place instead of them sitting in their station, doing nothing but either having their donuts and coffee or playing cards or congkak or mahjong.

Yeah...I guess only some of my friends were kinda wonder how come I went all the way up to Cyberjaya for training. Some even thought that I was conducting training sessions.

Nah...in fact, myself, together with my 3 other colleagues, represent my company to attend 2 days Train The Trainer course for NPC Port. NPC stands for Number Portability Clearinghouse, which also refers to the capability where subscriber from Network A can move over to Network B by maintaining the number without the needs of changing the number. Sounds confusing?!?

For example, me as Maxis user who wanted to switch network service to Celcom. By doing NPC method, me as a subscriber maintained my number as 01212345678 but am a Celcom user. Get it?

Well, this is the latest work that all telcos in Malaysia will be running this kind of applications, and it will make all the subscribers more easier to move from one network to another (and even more headache to us).

And that is the reason why I'm here to attend this training, coz am actually learning more than just moving one number to another. By the way, I guess there are some people still don't know what I'm working as, so go figure on my work life. Hehe

In the first 10 days after the New Year, fuiyooo, you can never imagine what I had gone thru. Previously I mentioned about one of my friend defriend my good friend (who is also my ex-client) and I'm pissed off with the way how they initiate the defriendship. In fact, friendship come and go, which is quite true and I just don't get it..WHY?

I do came across with friendship and defriendship. Recently I got to know that someone just love my voice when I was on conversation with one of my good friend. In the kawanster, I just send them a good-will message, and the baddest move of all is to give out my number. Surprised to see that there's no reply, I just thought that they were busy. Not until I got to find out that they got so turned off about my action. In my thought, it was just as friendship and never thought of things going further, too bad they think the other way round. Bygone la...I'll just keep things casual with friendships.

At work, well, things get cranky and crazy these days. I've been busy and been doing lots of talking these days. Oh yeah..I think I should also include Kiki as well. We both been crazily doing training sessions for system applications. Yeah..it's system that I'm talking about.

2-3 January 2008; We had training at our HQ office. The Day 1 didn't turn out to be smoothly run as the key for the room filled with the laptops that we are going to use was with my another boss, and so the things got kelam kabut. However, 'THE SHOW MUST GO ON'. While Kiki went over to our original office, I start the session with demonstration on the system and briefly explain some terms. Later in the afternoon we had laptops up and got them to hands on. Day 2, it was ok, and it was like more things came up with feedbacks from them. Now there goes with so much of work, multiply them with tons of it.

4 January 2008; Me and Kiki conduct half day session with the 2nd level and we will conduct the session for the 2nd time someday within this month I hope.

7 January 2008; I arrived at our Original office by 7.25am just to chec on the PC and to get it done before the session. Our System Guy was there around the time that I arrive and there he go, proceed with the work. System were not being too friendly for us, and we just had to start the session with the demonstration again, with this time, I got the trainees to assist me to key-in details as I explained. Oh yeah, the fantastic part of all, while doing the demonstation, there's Electric Bomb Explosion in our office. It was really like a sound of a bombastic feeling.

In the afternoon things became going smoothly that we've got them to hands on the system until the end of the day.

8 January 2008; This was a smoothest day ever. Training went smoothly and lots of feedbacks came up (including with the part where I was being sarcastic...wow...I wonder).

This day was the first day of the year that I went back to gym, attended Nic's Step Class. It's been a while I since attend step class due to the festivals and the incidents. My lower back injury was ok (with scar), and no longer have sexyback. Damm it. I feel so good while doing the steps until I lose focus on the steps and Nic smiled at me..so paiseh. The most jialat one is when it was so heavy rain right after the class, and I went back to my office to get my Giordano umbrella and no matter how well I undercover myself..I'm still wet, especially at my lower leg. My feet are all soaking wet. Wet. Feeling so marshy...eewwwww.

It was indeed a cool night, a good time to sleep and cuddle with my lil snoopy.

9 January 2007 ; The 4th Batch of training begins this day. Thought that things goes smoothly, until when we first switch on the PC, that gave us the sign of biggest problem of the day, resulted us to postpone our training to this Friday. Having my damaged company laptop are still in IT and waiting for my new one to come in, I was so damm bored and felt so 'naked'. So 'empty'. I used to be workaholic in a way that I keep using laptop to do my work. Too bad, some of the work I will have to put on hold due to this factor.

10 January 2007 ; I'M NOW AT THE CURVE STARBUCKS AND ONLINE TO BLOG ALL THIS SOH LAU's stories. Actually am with BL now, extracting some of the songs that he has now and transfer them into my lappy. Now I only want to get songs that are nice to listen until I'm not bored enough to listen.

Just recently myself and Kiki were preparing ourselves for 2 days Role Play training when one of the branch exec (I will only address this person as Make-Up Man) standing behind me and started to asked me a ridiculous question that goes like this:-

Make-Up Man : How did you get your manly voice?

Me : EXCUSE ME?!?

Him : You don't ask me to excuse yourself cos am asking you a question!

** Me and Kiki were looking at each other and somehow we were like really shocked on what he had just asked me.

Me : Can you please repeat that question again?

Him : I said..how did you get your manly voice ah?

Me : **Was still making my brain running to choose either to give him an honest scientific answer or a stupidest answer** Well, I think it got something to do with my hormone.

Seriously, out of so many questions I've been asked, and of course I was being re-asked again about myself, those questions are still considerable far more better than this type of question. It's like me asking you a question like "How you get natural blue eye" or "how you get the nice sexy leg".

Honestly lar....I don't mean to offend him lar..but then, it would be more better if he could just keep his mouth shut and NOT to ask this kind of question. It kinda..ya know...irritating.

There's only one thing that I would really like to advise him if he happen to read my blog.

STAY AWAY FROM A FOUNDATION MAKE UP, WILL YA?!??

Blog EntryA Challenging But Fruitful DaysNov 30, '07 9:23 PM
for everyone

On the 27th - 30th November 2007, myself and my collegues (include my sexy boss), attended CCST (Certified Customer Service Trainer) programme. As a trainer, it was totally new for me coz all these while my thought as a trainer is similar like teacher or lecturer, or a trainer that use the whip and spank the kiddos out there. Besides, I never know what trainer need to do before the training, during the training and after the training. But, now am really glad that everything is over, and this time with all knowledge and experience being input during the the 4 day session.

Our first day of training, we came in as a stranger. The first we did was to find a seat and we were all sit together (except to my boss..blerk). Later during the session, we were finally have to break up into 3 groups, so we have to be separated from each other. But it was good. Basically, we need to learn to step out of the comfort zone, and get on with real thing. It was from here, we finally met new friends, and they all came from managerial and training backgrounds.

During our sessions, we did learnt a lot of things, and still have fun. But the worse was still not yet over during that time as our biggest task were to do a final presentation on the final day of the session, and whoever did not reach the certain percentage, we will not be certified as trainer. Really scary.

We were all doing ok. We did whatever we can to get it done. And we will enjoy what we did.

Now that the session over, I will have to bring back those ideas into my newly built company and need to come up with these ideas.

Blog EntryCURRENT WORK SITUATIONOct 23, '07 11:55 AM
for everyone
It has been quite a while since I blog about my new work. Well, it has been an interesting weeks for me and my fellow trainees, and I would just summarise what happened these few weeks (days).

I still remember.........

1) We had the training about the troubleshooting on how to connect to the internet by using the phone as a modem and connect them using laptop. During the morning session, some of the trainees were doing quite a simple type of troubleshooting. At the end of the day, the trainer had me to become the 'Branch Manager' to solve the problem, thus the trainer also created lots of problem in the PC, lots more tougher than the others, and I couldn't solve it. So sad..but I took it as an experience and learnt from it.

-they were on discussions-

2) After hearing my 'so-called' nagging on not having hp for myself due to the company policy that has been changed prior to my joining, my boss had lend me her HP to play around with it and explore them at the same time. After for 3D2N of testings on the HP, I finally got my findings on my experimentation towards this HP and the network.

3) For 3 weeks of my training, finally my boss gave me an assignment. It may sound simple but however, it was not really easy to do it. My task for that point of time was to find 2 training room facilities for the 2 batch of which will come in by next month. Had make the conversation and had spoken to the people in charge for the training facilities (that I got the contact thru my big big boss). In verbal wise, some period of those time were fully booked on certain rooms, however were so troublesome enough to get back to me just on one enquiry at a time.

Finally I took the initiative to send the e-mail to the P.I.C to get the rooms and also the quotations (after discussing with my boss; and after making sure that there are no cancellation charges involved before the dateline), and I find it more easier that way to communicate...and again, that lady keep sending me e-mail on one issue at a time..really kinda waste of time. No matter how, I will do the follow up on the enquiry and will make sure that plan is in order. Besides, me and Da Kinky KIKI (my new collegue : trainer) found few places as an alternatives should an unexpected happen.

4) Another boss from other department seek our assistance to get them the training room for another training session that related with bank. After checking thru the system, I found that the rooms were all occupied, and then after looking for a room thoroughly, I found a place, but the space wise could be quite small to fit in certain amount of people. However, the 'boss' told me that they already booked one of the room since some period of time until December and that room should be theirs when based in the system it was stated that the room was booked by other department. He then claimed that the 'department' didn't update the system, therefore leaving the system that way. For me, I just don't give a damm, and I'll have the plan that goes with the training room to be located priority at the 'claimed-to-be-booked-training-room' while I still maintain the room that I just book as a back up in case any unexpected happens. Finally, for this part, assignment solved (and now just finger cross on this coming event)

5) I then finally get to see the clearer colour of some people in this company. Could tell who has the double personality, who is really genuinely nice collegue to work with, who is really serious when comes to work, who is playing a fool around the place and etc. I had already proven (and still in progress) to prove that I can do it (that's my mojo...oopps...it's MOTTO). I just need to keep doing whatever neccesary.

-da morning exercise-

Meanwhile...I have such a great time working with my fella collegues, my bosses and even trainees. In fact, I do treat them as my own friends as well though (of course I know where is my border line when comes to work wise). Meanwhile..AURON DECLAN..GAMBATTE NEH!!

Blog EntryNEW ENVIRONMENT - NEW LIFEOct 5, '07 11:30 PM
for everyone

1st October - a significant day of my life. Exactly last 3 years ago I start my new work at the new travel agent that handles MH, BI, CX, BA etc. A Semi-version to open up my eyes towards the world outside. All I remember about this day at that point of time was I do nothing at all but just sit there and shaddap, and just read the manuals. It was such a boring less stress time, but at least I get to hands on the system at the next day.

In these duration, been thru ups and downs, moving on from one company till when I move over to KL for good as I got the offer from a tour wholesale company, of which I then move on again to another due to unable to take the level of stress there (imagine this..making reservations, revert confirmation, reconfirmation on tour days, answering those calls that keep bugging you about confirmations, cancellations, filings, jotting down the log book, bla bla bla....under one person hands. I got too stressed out that I re-evaluate myself of what I really want in my life, and that's when I move on to another company.

On this 1st October 2007, it was my first day to start my new career life at another company, of which right now in progress to launch. I feel proud to be in the pioneer group.

Firstly, the HR exec that handled my application gave me tour around the company, introducing me to some new collegues and all departments. She also gave me the stationaries for my work purpose. Finally she brought me to my department, my actual department that I'll be working for the rest of my career life (unless if I have to move on again).

After being introduce to my assistant manager and the rest of the members in the department, me and the A.M went into the boss room and had a chat there, just get to know about me, and also get to know about my job scope, of which I now get a clearer picture of my career in this company. I was also told about the perk that I'll be getting very soon for work purpose.

Next thing is, she told me about her plan for me during my first month, of which one of them is she wanted me to sit in into a training sessions and just observe them doing their thangs. So off we went into the training room.

It was such a coincident that my x-senior collegue, who was doing the training for the new batch there, and of course, after giving a warm hug for not seeing each other for quite some time, I then were being introduced to the new batch in the room and A.M were telling them that I am the Trainer. (That's right. I'll be working as Trainer, gonna whip those naughty boys/girls if they get naughty in my class....Rrrrrrrrrr).

Was observing on how my senior and the other trainers (in actualy fact, they have to become a trainer for the time being until new trainer hired in, that's where I was right now in this picture) conduct the training and observing on their interactions with the trainees. There are some points of which I can adopt, and some that I think should be improvise, and probably use all these observations to put into my training in the future.

Anyway, I slowly get to know the new trainees, becoming their friends, had a good laugh with them and share about previous experience in previous company. It was good thing to share experience to learn from each other so that can know what to expect and what NOT to expect next time. Of course, I do enjoy my time with them, been out for lunch with them, and I only got to know that one of them who are also CF member, of which this monday me and him will go there and work out together .

First week was over, and my first week I must say it was an awesome week. Only difference is these days I have to study lots of things about their thangs.

Blog EntryNOW THIS IS A REAL BIG HEADACHE~Aug 6, '07 10:33 AM
for everyone

It has been one year I've been working as a QAS (Quality Assurance Specialist) and been taking care of an e-mail team, also known as ACG. Before I became a QAS, I was an agent for ACG team, so I know how things works. Replying to customer's e-mails is consider nice, coz you have more time for you to think of a good constructive and reasonable words when replying the e-mails. However, the only bad point for the ACG team is, IT WAS NOT ALL ABOUT COPY-PASTE TEMPLATES..and seriously..most of the members did the copy-pasting (as if I really don't know).

Yeah..as I've been stress the same thing like 'nenek' to my former members on replying the e-mails based on the customer's issue, refraining them from copy-pasting without checking the e-mails and amend them as if they construct the words on their own, however, worse still happen to some of them. Recently, looking back at the audits, I somehow find it super ridiculous on reason why the amount became higher than before, and seeing the errors done by my members, most of them contributed the penalisation that cost RM10 per case just because of i) Incomplete Information ii) Inaccurate Information and last but not least iii) Redundant Information. It's all about INFORMATIONS. How could they do such a mistake, especially when it's on e-mail. It's black and white documented stuff, my dear. Anything happen, it can end up in the court.

Anyway, this month with effect, all of us were swapped with each other's job, so I'll be handling Inbound Level 1 department. The good thing is, it's a new challenge for me to hands on. Now, here's the bad thing. As I mentioned before, I have been handling the ACG teams for 1 year, and putting a hope on me to really do the thang on this department with finger snap is definitely crazy. Well, just ask my collegues.

This morning when I stepped into the office, I have already felt the tense to start working on my new thang. For the whole morning, all I've been doing is just trying to get familiarize with the calls and the findings. Tough. And hey...ask my collegues, I've been whining for whole morning when I'm doing the findings on the agent's calls, and they thought that I may have wrong switch in my brain.

After lunch, I continue again, of which am trying again, and it was so hard to concentrate on familiarizing it thang. My ex supervisor texted me, told me that she heard that I'm doing the inbound team, and she trust that I could do it..just relax and calm down.. Well, I am (I hope)....Apparently not during that time though..

Next thing I need to do is to do survey, of which I need to call customers. Searching thru the database to get customer's contact and been trying to call from one specific time to another, and all I get is either engage, no one picked up the phone call, voice message or the fax machine tone. Today is really really not my day. What a really big headache day for me.

I still remember when I first join this company that I'm currently working at, first interview at the recruitment firm. Had my assessment to go through such as english writing and also typing skills writing (which no doubt, I have no problem with it coz I typed around 64wpm at time of assessment), then the recruiter told me that I'm passed thru and asked me to attend for the final interview.

Two days later, went to TTDI for the final interview and that's where I first met few of my collegues. Went through with the interview with flying colours despite that I had lose my voice, had dirrhea and fever. So just imagine how I handle this situation. Simple, instead of using my normal tone, I have to use extremely low voice, hoping that the panel understand what i'm trying to talk. After the interview, I went back home and rest.

The next day morning, the person in charge called me up and told me that I'm successful applicant and need to come back to the firm to get my contract sign. At that point of time am ok. Oh yeah, during that time, I still remember that I have to go for dance practice for the Thanksgiving night event. Just imagine how weak am I at that time, and I can still 'tahan' instead of pengsan.

My first day in this company, introduction and training session. There was kinda hundreds of successful applicants, just like me. Then, from the 2nd day until the 30th of the month, we went thru with trainings of products and technical, and then had buddy session at Semarak for about a week before all of us move to our current office and had another week of training before we start to move on the floor with our first day on real job. That time, things got screwed up a bit as the system were at fault for unknown reason, making our work on that day was just surfing.

Till then, I had get to know my collegues from my team, and then to some people on the floor, and also to my friends in training department and QA department. Months and months passed by, sadly to see some of my friends eventually leave the company, for better offer. Then there's application as QA specialist, of which I applied them not only because of the work hours, but I generally think that I need to move on to improvise myself in career perspective. Thank God, that I really got it.

But one thing that I didn't know about the QA job is, it can be simple and yet complicated. I didn't realise that QA work is kinda a lot of thing to handle. A really headache moment that sometimes I can feel the head cracking. Stress up, I do have and I admit it, I guess other people also stress up sometimes. I blowed up before, I burst out before, but well, if you really want to know me in my work environment, you can ask my collegues whether I do blowed or burst up often or not. I can assure you that they will tell you the same as I what I just said it here.

Been working as a specialist, going thru with ups and downs, issues by issues that had challenged me to tackle each issue that were easily accept by the staff. I guess we all learn it out together, otherwise, how are we suppose to grow up.

It's been more than a year that I worked for this company, gone thru with my probation of 6 months as a specialist and got confirmed and absorbed under company's care, with salary adjusted. These days, many few things, changes are all appearing slowly and everyday we face all kinds of challenges, especially when there is issue from the group, or even from our client.

My ex-collegue, used to be Business Development Manager for a tour wholesale company and now currently working for another company, had told me that I've changed, and seeing that I like the call center environment and asked me whether I wanna to move back to tourism line or not. Well, possibility yes, but chances of going back, SLIM. Reason, tourism can be fun if you get to travel around the places, but it will really get on your nerve if all kinds of major issue going on, such as the terrorism on planes, SARS. But what matter is what you were doing in the company itself. That time, my job scope is to assist customer to book ticket, hotel room and tour packages. Basic super low and with too much of work..seriously, I'm always the busiest because people tend to give me more work that point of time (part of my learning process)

Anyway........now that I'm ok with my company....there's 2 company apparently interested in me to apply a job with them. One of them had called me and I have to attend the interview within next week. A lot of factor will be taken to account if I am a successful applicant, such as I will move out from my current place for my convenience to work, expenses like foods and my needs. Well, wish me luck then.
